Nomination Process and Details:

Awardees for the First Annual Climate Action Hero Awards – to be held on April 20, 2024 – will be chosen by the Climate Action Museum Board of Directors from submittals and nominations through organizations, individuals, and via this website.

The purpose of awards is two-fold:

  • First, to recognize outstanding achievements in planning and/or actions taken to improve awareness and climate improvement programs.

  • Second, it is felt that recognizing best practices will encourage others to follow suit. Awards will be chosen based on accomplishments in one or more of the award categories driven by the Climate Action Museum.

“The Mission of the Climate Action Museum is to activate a tipping point on climate mitigation in the Chicago region through education, stimulating critical thought, and to inspire and facilitate Direct action.”
