On Wednesday, September 2nd, CAM will host a special event featuring producer Chris Elisara, who will discuss his film Route 66: The Main Street of America. Produced by Elisara and directed by his partner, John Paget, the documentary offers a fascinating look at the historic highway and its cultural significance. Following the film discussion, the conversation will turn to a related public art project—the Route 66 river mural, painted by artist Thomas Melvin, which is located on the Chicago River just outside of CAM.
